Please keep my grandson in your prayers

Buddies I'm asking you to keep my 14 month old grandson in your prayers. My son & dil leave with him tomorrow to go to Chicago, pray that they arrive safely, they have a 6.5 hour drive to Chicago. My dil's brothers girlfriend and her family live about 10 min. from the hospital and they have invited them to stay there tomorrow night. He has to be checked into the hospital on Thursday at 10 am and then the surgery Friday morning at 7:30. I know this will help him but yet we're getting nervous, he does have the top surgeon at Shrinners doing his surgery so that eases my mind somewhat. He's the happiest little guy ever, so smiley and on the go all the time.

Thanks buddies, this board is awesome and full of wonderful people.

Thumbs up

I'm praying that all goes ''perfect'' for your Grandson.
And, I pray for calm and peace for your children, as they tackle this issue.
I know they must be scared.

I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers...........

I pray for the best results possible

Your little Grandson is in my prayers, as all the family.
May I ask what type of surgery he will be having?

He is in my prayers Double Mom, along with prayers for his Momma and Daddy, and all the grandmas and grandpas, and the doctors and nurses who are going to be taking care of him.

Sorry I forgot to mention what it's for. When Koltin was born he born he didn't have a thumb on his right hand and the bone that runs from the thumb to the elbow is not there. He also had a left thumb but it was hanging by a piece of skin so they removed that one also. The surgery on Fri will be for his club arm. I know they are going to center the wrist on the bone he does have and I think put some type of rod in the arm, he will be in a brace for 4-5 years. In a few months they are going to do the other hand by rotating his finger to become his thumb and if that works then they'll do the club arm one and rotate that finger to become a thumb. He's looking at some surgeries over the years with this arm but it will give him more normal use out of that arm. He does really well with it now and even not having thumbs, but he doesn't know any different.

Poor little guy...but the good news is we have the knowledge and the skills in this day and age to help him. I pray he recovers quickly.
