As the Thanksgiving season approaches, most of us have many reasons to be thankful. Some residents of Taney and Christian counties aren’t so fortunate, and that is where Christian Action Ministries fills an important void in our community.
The Horn Family’s Riders of the Circle B will be continuing their support of C.A.M. Join us on Sunday, November 12, and Monday, November 13 at 5:00PM, when we’ll be offering our meal and Christmas show for $7.50 per person + a $5.00 donation to help C.A.M. meet their numerous financial obligations.
Support a worthy cause, have a great meal, and enjoy a rollicking hour long cowboy music and comedy show at the Circle B Chuckwagon. Doors open at 4:15 PM- Call 417-336-1828 early for reservations!

Various Branson stars including Jim Stafford, The Haygoods, Mannheim Steamroller, Steve and Rudy Gatlin, the Lennon Sisters, Gene Dove, Cedric Benoit and the Cajun Connection along with the Duttons presented a special presentation to members of the media at the Grand Palace on the morning of November 4, 2006. It was entitled “Celebrate the Seasons of Branson, was hosted by Branson performers, and its purpose was to give a taste of the entertainment that Branson has to offer.
As was to be expected, they all did an exceptional job. To the best of his knowledge, it was the first time that the Ole Seagull has gotten to see the Duttons perform. He doesn’t go to a lot of shows but the Dutton Show was one of those that he has always wanted to see but, for one reason or another, none of them good, he never did. Well, the good news is that he now knows why he wanted to see it. The bad news is that now he knows what he has missed.
If the energy, synergy, musicality, and ability to relate to their audience demonstrated at this special performance is what one can expect when they go to their show it is going to be an amazing entertainment experience and one that everyone should want to include as part of their “Branson experience.” When I get back from Oklahoma City next weekend it is my intent to remedy my failure to see their show and do a review on it. I am actually excited about doing it and at my age one doesn’t want to waste the limited of amount of excitement they have left. If you’re coming to Branson don’t miss this fabulous group of entertainers.
The Circle B Chuckwagon Christmas Show just might be a perfect way to start an evening in Branson during the Christmas Season. One thing for sure when you leave you won’t be hungry, you’ll be entertained, and have a heart full of Christmas, Horn family and cowboy style. The food is excellent and the entertainment the same. Along with the cowboy and Christmas music the comedy between the family members has a unique synergy that ties everything together in this this warm and unique Christmas experience that should not be missed. The Nov. 30 edition of the Branson Courier, Issue 4, will have a more complete review.
Participants will show their patriotic pride by wearing their own fashions in a Red, White and Blue Style Show Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at Justin Flom’s Magic Parlor (second floor Majestic Building 2849 Gretna). Admission is free and light refreshments will be served at this event, according to Linda Ward, chair. The style show is part of Veterans Week and the Branson Veterans Task Force’s 13th Annual Veteran Homecoming to be held in Branson Nov. 5-11.
“Over the past 13 years of Veterans Homecoming festivities, we have seen many great red, white and blue ensembles worn by locals and our visitors that we thought they should be featured in a special event. This is open to anyone, children and adults, male and female, who would like to wear their patriotic styles in the fashion show,” said Ward. “Showcased will be locals, tourists, celebrities and especially our veterans and active military along with patriotic fashions from Branson shops.”
Many volunteers are helping. Louise Harrison, sister of Beatles George Harrison, and Cheryl Gabriel of the “Doug Gabriel Show” and “Branson Spotlight” will emcee. Justin Flom from the Magic Parlor is the host. Entertainment will be provided by Kim and Dan Christian of Branson’s “Music Makes the World Go Round” set to open in 2007 at the Tower Theatre. Branson Veterans Task Force is the event sponsor with support from America’s Presidency and Justin Flom’s Magic Parlor. Committee members are Stormy Snow, Dawn Easton and Pam Brown.
