Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex will host one of three world premiere screenings for the highly anticipated epic “One Night with the King” on Tuesday, October 10.
Simultaneously with both Los Angeles and Atlanta, the premiere event will begin at 7 pm, hosted by international television hosts and Branson entertainers - Dino and Cheryl Kartsonakis. The world premiere screening of One Night with the King will begin at 7:40 pm in the IMAX Theater. Excerpts of the evening’s festivities and exit interviews with attendees will be broadcast live on the Trinity Broadcast Network.
Gener8Xion Entertainment Inc.’s spectacular One Night with the King will open in over 850 theaters in select cities across the nation, including the IMAX Entertainment Complex and the Elite Cinema III, officially on Friday, October 13. Starring silver screen legends Peter O’Toole and Omar Sharif, along with the renowned John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings trilogy), Luke Goss (Blade II, ZigZag) and Hollywood newcomer Tiffany Dupont, this impressive motion picture chronicles the amazing life of Esther, one of the Bible’s most beloved and courageous heroes.
Based on the best-selling novel Hadassah: One Night with the King by Tommy Tenney and Mark Andrew Olsen, this dramatic big-screen adaptation chronicles a young woman’s rise from peasant to princess, her courageous role in the redemption of her people from destruction and death, and her winning of the love of the most powerful man in the kingdom - by seeking his heart rather than the riches of his kingdom.
“One Night with the King is the story of divine destiny,” explains the film’s producer Matthew Crouch, Chairman and CEO of Gener8Xion Entertainment. “Hadassah was a poor, unknown peasant girl, an orphan, an outcast from a distant land, who went on to become queen of a powerful empire. Her poignant story proves that anyone, no matter the circumstances, can rise to greatness when guided by the hand of destiny.”
Beginning on October 11, One Night with the King will show nightly on the Giant IMAX Screen at 7:00 pm and four times daily in the Elite Cinema III beginning on October 13. To find out more about One Night with the King, log onto www.8x.com/onenight.

A local NBC piece recently reported on the fact that the City of Branson had sent a letter to the Branson Sports Club, Inc., a not for profit corporation, that among other things, runs after school sports programs for at risk kids, most of whom are between the ages of five and thirteen. The letter stated that it was violating the law “because the club is outside city limits” and they “are using ‘Branson’ in connection with your [their] business although you [they] are not located within the city limits of the City of Branson.”
The report goes on to say, “According to the city, ‘Branson’ is a protected name and can’t be used by a business or organization outside the city limits.” The letter appears to be basing its claim on the fact that it has the federally registered Service Mark of “BRANSON, MISSOURI.” Doesn’t the term “Branson” far transcend the boundaries of the City of Branson? Silver Dollar City, one of “Branson’s” biggest attractions, is located where? If the city has their way what’s next, the Showboat Branson Belle will be renamed the “Showboat ??? Belle?”
