A piece entitled the “Rose Petal Ceremony honors women veterans” in the Branson Courier on Oct. 24, 2006 pointed out that the ceremony is a moving tribute to all women who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. This year’s ceremony will have 1st Lt. Laura Schlenker, recently returned from Iraq, as its guest speaker and will be held on Monday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Settle Inn in Branson.
