#1hits of the 60's
We finally got to go to see #1 hits of the 60's - and I must say it was an excellent show! They put together over 100 songs from the 1960's, but we didn't feel like any of them were abruptly cut off (like a few other shows do) - and we also thought the entire thing flowed together really well.
My favorite part was the final segment, using "Abraham, Martin & John" combined with a couple of other songs, showing pictures of JFK, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Bobby Kennedy on the screen. Then into the finale, MacArthur Park. We also thought the drive-in movie segment was very creative - made us feel like we were actually at the drive-in! It wasn't over-done, either. We also like the way the musicians were involved in the show, beyond being just the back-up band. They actually did a few songs (the Beatles medley was great!). Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening. We highly recommend this show and we're planning on seeing it again very soon! Mr Music Support LIVE music in Branson! |

Thanks for the great review on the show. We saw that show last Fall and really enjoyed it too.. Where are they at this year? Are they still at the Welk theatre? Thanks! Carol |
