Krispy Kreme

Thought you might like to see the location of the new Krispy Kreme. They've graded the land much more since I took this picture, last week. It appears they'll be starting construction soon.

We used to drive miles out of the way on a trip just to stop at a Krispy Kreme. We loved them and could never get enough. Then they opened one here about a year ago. After going several times the fun just wore off. Haven't bothered to go in probably 4 or 5 months. Guess it just goes to prove you always want most what you can't have.

(maybe that also explains my crush on Julia Roberts also )

Our Krispy Kreme story is just like your, Beagle Dad! We used to line up for Krispy fundraisers where groups would drive 200 miles and bring them back. We have a Krispy Kreme now and I haven't been there since they opened. (Guess that explains my attraction to Mel Gibson!)

We once took a 4 hour trip to Houston

Then would have to go to Austin...

Now that they're in San Antonio - on the way to/from work... well we're on Weight Watchers and those suckers are 4 -5 points apiece....

Really tho' Branson is a perfect spot! We'd be on vacation after all!

We also have one that we stop at in St Louis on the way to/from Chicago... THAT stop also has a White Castle!!! mmmmmmm

guess i'm in the minjority, I haven't fell for Krispy Kreme like most have. If you can get one fresh off the conveyor belt, hot out of the oven they're ok, otherewise it's like a mouthfull of sugar.

If you're in the minority, so am I! The closest donut shop we have is 30 miles away, and it's called Dixie Creme. They are by far the best I have ever eaten. At one time, there was also a Krispy Creme located in the same town, and it didn't stay open very long.

OOOOOOOOH MY GOODNESS!

That is WAAAAAY too close to my hotel!

Okie ~~ When they first moved into our area, I didn't see what the big fuss was all about. After having them in the house several time (thanks to husband and daughter), I've become addicted. When I drive by, I look in the other direction 'cause if the 'HOT" light is on ~~ I just cannot resist!

LOL, well that would be a long trip just for a donut. But I met with a bunch of good friends in Milwaukee and we went to The Dennis Deyoung (former Styx frontman) concert. What a blast we had.
