All of us have them. Not the kind you get while you're sleeping, but the things you dream of when you're awake.

I know Judith and Branson Mom dreamed of moving to Branson. I dreamed of moving to New Orleans...since I was a young girl. But now that I've achieved that dream...well, it's been years since I've had any, and frankly, I don't like it.

Just wondering if those of you who have achieved your dreams are still dreaming. And those of you who haven't yet "made your dreams come true"...just what ARE those dreams you have?

I need some inspiration here!

I have had some crazy dreams in my life time. None have come to pass. I do not know whether this is good or bad. I know if some them had come true I would probably be in a heap of trouble about now....!! !! !!

sadly, you won't get your inspiration from me, can't think of any dreams or goals i've set for myself in the last couple of years. does there become a point or age at which we are more concerned and happy with just surviving from day to day, than setting goals for the future?

guess there's still that big fish out there that I haven't caught yet or that oil well they haven't drilled yet or that lottery I haven't won yet.

Have always wanted to go on a "short-term mission trip" and will have to wait a while longer on that one. Have dreamed of traveling a lot, and am getting the opportunity to do that. Have dreamed of singing in large choirs, and get to do that with two different choirs. Long dreamed of seeing the Osmonds perform in Utah -- got to do that last week. Have dreamed of being a part of large musical theatre productions, both amateur and professional. Have done the amateur. Gee...maybe it's time to come up with some new dreams!!! Nah...I have some others that I'm just not sharing with anyone. Gives me something to look forward to!!!

Im a greedy person, and generally think ONLY of myself.

And, I dream constantly, and have for over 50 years, of having total PEACE OF MIND.

Everytime, I think that dream/goal is about to be achieved, realized, or attained?.........I GET BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER, with worry, or failure.

Well my family says Im a natural born worry wort......so there is no chance in hell any of my dreams would come true.

So, I depend on good drugs.........to calm my nerves, and make me think everything is on a even keel...........when in reality....reality?........I dont live there !


**I dreamt for all my life to be beautiful, thin, and appealing....smart, and funny and desirable......to everyone....so that I didnt have to wonder what the people behind me were saying..................as I grow older, I discover that aint coming true, ......bad dream, actually a nightmare.......but, now I dont give a damn.........and that came with age.

But, I have lost weight.....and NO Ann Margaret am I, but Im healther, striving to loose more ....... and never getting off track, I dont get discouraged anymore, like I used to......

So maybe this is the dream come true....old age and some more peace than I had as a young girl.......and maybe the dream that is coming true, is that it is what is in my heart and my soul, and not having anything to do with what other people think.........I have to find my PEACE INSIDE......and I think its on its way.......

Except for my Son in Iraq....I could settle in, and grow old peacefully........so I wait for this little pothole, on this road to peace........only about 43 more weekends.

My dreams in life when I was growing up were:

To get a degree--Which I did in 1998
To have a career that I loved--Which I do...stressful, but I love the challenge!
To marry the love of my life--I found him & we were married last year
To have children--Waiting till next year on that one

I say 3 out of 4 ain't bad! LOL
