The Woods Resort, a westgate property. entrance is off of Shepherd of the Hills road by the Drafts sports bar and where they've been working on the water park forever now it seems like. can't drive by it because it is gated entrance.

got reservations for August, was surprised by the price, not nearly as expensive as I expected.

Okie, I haven't stayed there but drove through it a couple of times before it became a gated resort. Looked nice then.

In regards to the waterpark, it was announced in July 2017. Here's the thread about it:

At the Woods there are condos and cabins. I have not been in the condos but have been in the cabins and they are very nice.

The amenities at the resort are awesome with so much to do. Be sure to check out the walking trail at the back of the property.

The location is very convienent to access all of Branson.

thanks, what we have is more of a hotel room reserved, 2 beds bathroom. thought we'd try it out, if like it might move up to the condo or cabin next time.

Saturday night was a little expensive but after that the price dropped to cheaper than most of the hotels around Branson.

Did the water park ever happen? I don't recall seeing it whenI was in Branson early June.

They did some site work and built a parking lot but no water park yet. The sign was still up last time I drove by. Haven't heard or read any updates on the project.

we stayed at The Woods and really enjoyed it, probably will go again sometime. you are right off the Shepherd of the Hill Expressway so it's easy to get wherever you want to from there and it's up in the tree's, very relaxing.

nice big pool, an indoor pool, volleyball, mini golf, lot of places to walk around, there's a nice little overlook at the bottom of the hill where a creek and waterfall run thru but it's a steep walk back to the top. no breakfast but there is a little general store that sells milk and juice.

as far as price goes it's really not that bad, some of the hotels we looked at had jumped in price from last year, those that we had paid 100.00 to 120 are now 120 to 140 and at the Woods are average night stay came to 119.00 a night, but it does make a difference which nights you are there, being on a Sunday - Tuesday brings the price down, late week or Saturday drives the price up.
