Choices closing

Choices Concert Hall in Branson is closing its doors this month.

In a press release, Choices announced that the concert hall would close after one last night of dining, dancing and fun on Dec. 19

Yeah...found that out last night. Had been going every Wed at 5:30 to the "Country on the Rocks" event...but none last night, so I asked the lady...yep, no more, Sayonora. A real loss, imo. I mean, where else could you enjoy an adult beverage or two, and listen to, and get to dance to, the hard driving (with a few belly rubbin' songs mixed in for the couples) old time country music featuring Heather Gentry, Shane Vorhaben, and Darrell Croy? Such FUN! What an awesome LIVE dance band...having serious withdrawals already.

Like seemingly everything in town, for sale and very overpriced.

Yes, its a shame, they seemed to be doing very well, and trying to cater to poeple in town that wanted to hear good live music, dance, and have a good time.

They were not given the "choice" to renew their lease..

I think IF you check their FB page, Country on the Rocks is now on Friday evening at 5:30, for the next 3 weeks.

This is really a loss to the town.. Choices was supporting the local artists and was also trying to cater to the people that wanted to go out and have a good time..

If you get the chance before the 19th, go check them out.
Will be lots of drink and food specials going on... for instance last night was 20.00 for dinner and tickets to watch Melody Hart and Her family.. it another great show.

Thanks for that update! I don't "do" Facebook, have utter contempt for zuckerberg...so I never even look at that.

Talking Chices should choose Hollister

Maybe ownership of Choices can find a venue in Hollister. Hollister is business friendly, (they should talk with the business development guy, Rick Sigenfuss), and there is an interesting building on Bus 65 that is already set up as a restaurant.

I hated reading this news the other day. I’ve been enjoying all of my time over there! JoAnn, Michelle, and Lori have been working so hard to make this venue a success. So sorry to see this happen. Well...if you need me on Dec. 19, you know where to find me! I’ll be crying in my...don’t drink beer, so more than likely fireball or margarita I’ll be crying in to!

When I talked to Michele last week, I was very disappointed for all of them.. they have worked hard on the building, getting the kinks worked out of kitchen, scheduling good talent for for shows.. They had several different locals working regular shows. It was coming along very nicely.. really too bad.

Flip side.... Fireball? Margaritas? Now, I know we need to meet. LOL..

According to the article in this week's BTW, Choices is closing because the owner of the building decided not to renew the lease with Choices.

If you want to read the entire article, it can be found here:
