2 nights

My wife and I are thinking of coming down a couple days next week I was wondering about a nice clean motel with continental breakfast. We prefer locally owned with a good reputation.

Angel inn Central

Has anybody stayed at Angel Inn Central lately? The wife has always wanted to stay there and a couple of years ago I had read a couple bad reviews. Sadly our favorite motel has been sold and the quality has kind of slid downhill so we’re looking for something different.

We like Branson's Best or sister hotel, Savannah House. Their continental breakfast is very good and they offer warm cobbler, cookies and self serve soft ice cream in the evenings. Now this was all pre-Covid. Not sure about now, as many hotels only offer a brown bag breakfast which from experience is not great.

Thanks but our experience at Bransons Best 2 years ago wasn’t great. It was not very clean & the staff really didn’t try to help.

We are on our way home, cont breakfasts had always been offered where we stayed but this year it was a pre made wrapped breakfast sandwich and a bowl of grapes because of covid they said, second morning walked to Krispy Kreme and took donuts back.

No sure how they are now. Lots of changes, including part of the name. But Lodge at the Falls was always great when we stayed there for short, or last minute trips. Great breakfast as well. More than the standard donuts, and coffee "Continental" style.

UPDATE: Just drove by.... CLOSED!

we were there over the weekend (Saturday-Monday) and stayed at Branson Towers on Shepherd of the Hills. I'd recommend it.

We stayed there last Fall (pre Covid). They had a decent breakfast. Housekeeping did a good job on keeping the rooms clean. The manager told me to mention that I had a SDC pass for a room discount. There was three families on that trip. They took good care of us. No complaints.

We stayed at the Barrington Hotel and it was a fantastic choice. The staff is super nice and the rooms are very clean with nice beds. Continental breakfast was eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, bagels, toast, cereal & fruit. We will be staying here again!

Sounds like a great place! Just looked them up, and checked rates. Looks very reasonably. I don't usually look forvplaces over on the North side of town. Just habbit staying closer to Taneycomo. But I will certainly keep this place in mind for any last minute trips.

We just got back from a 2 night stay at the Barrington, very impressed especially for the price. We have paid more at other places for far less. With tax we paid $120 for our stay.

Best towels we have had to use in any place we have stayed in Branson. Rooms have fridges but no microwaves. However, there are microwaves on 2 of the 4 floors for guests to use and are in the area of the ice and vending machines.

Breakfast was same as 82corvette described except no potatoes on our 2 mornings but had tortillas if you wanted to make breakfast tacos. Also had yogurt available.

All during the day and evening there is a beverage bar in the lobby with 2 types of coffee, lemonade, and water plus packages of various hot drink mixes.

We didn't use it but there is an indoor pool and hot tub.

Will definitely go back.

I normally stay at the Grand Country, when I visit. Nice Rooms, Grand Country Buffet for Breakfast. Several Restaurants, Bars and Stores within walking distance.
