Shoji is 76 years old. The Fire took place three years ago. No Buses are bringing the Crowds to Branson, that it once drew. Combine that with Coronavirus and changing tastes in music, I don't see it opening up anytime soon;

Good points. Shoji had had a pretty decent run. The glory days of Branson are over forever. That's life.

Yeah...a VERY good run. Just sitting in your vehicle, looking at that magnificent theater and property as it is today, empty...really sad. Always brings to my mind one of my favorite "comtemplating" songs, that being Merle Haggard's "Are The Good Times Really Over", and the lines of "Is the best of the free life behind us now,
And are the good times really over for good?
And are we rolling downhill like a snowball headed for hell,
With no kinda chance for the flag or the liberty bell?"....

I read on Facebook that Shoji will be doing dates in the fall and Christmas season at the Clay Cooper Theatre.

The shoji tabuchi show postpones 2020 performances - will return in 2021

https://www.facebook.com/ShojiTabuch...&theater&ifg=1

Information and recommendations regarding the COVID-19 global pandemic continue to be ever-changing. With that, the health and safety of our audience members, cast, crew, band, staff, and community have been of our utmost concern and priority. After evaluating every aspect of The Shoji Tabuchi Show’s operations, and with careful and ongoing consideration for all information and guidance available, The Tabuchi Family has made the very difficult decision to postpone all 2020 Branson, Missouri performances of The Shoji Tabuchi Show. We share with you, in the disappointment of this decision.

That's sad. Another long time Branson "institutuon", as it were, not performing. Um...next year? Well...we shall see. But, I hope so.

I have nothing to base my following comet on, but I think that Shoji will never be performing again. I find it strange to cancel the rest of the year when most everything is opening up.

I believe you're correct, due to a number of factors.

No one has the same ambition, drive, energy, hunger and need to conquer in their mid 70’s as they did in their mid 20’s. It is a sad, but true fact of life. Shoji has definately “been there, done that” many, many times in his career. Hope to see him back on stage some day, but, if not, then Thank you, for all the years of your talented life that you have provided Branson.
