Now you’ve opened a can of worms! We all have our favorite place(s), and we are each quite passionate about which place is “best”! And we go through this exercise EVERY year....but I guess we all enjoy it, as our passion never fades about this topic. I will let others voice their opinion before i offer mine...

Thanksgiving dinner.??

SDC is good, no doubt.

Keeter Center is over the top for sure, kind of pricey!! But an amazing meal.

Grand Country Buffet is VERY good too.. Lots of selections, Not a "lot" of money..

Cant go wrong with any 1 of these 3...

Top off my mind:

Keeter Center
Osage Restaurant at Top of the Rock
Devil's Pool and Worman House at Big Cedar
Grand Country Buffet

Any of those would be great!

SDC doesn't open until later in the day, so that is something to keep in mind.

You will get many great suggestions. From very expensive, to very reasonable.
For my family, and I it has been Grand Country Buffet.
An awesome array of delicious foods. Everything you could want for a thanksgiving feast. The line to get in can be long, but moves quite rapidly. Usually 45 minutes to an hour, but the delights inside are worth every second. An opinion obviously shared by many people. Otherwise the line would not be so long.
While the food at SDC is the best ammusement park food in the country, it is just that. Amusement park food. I think I wouldchoose somewhere else for my Thanksgiving feast, and visit SDC later. Our plans exactly.

That's exactly what we have done more than once - Grand Country Buffet for our big meal early. Then head over to SDC. A perfect Thanksgiving.

Grand Country is great have been there many times and never disappointed and may be back this year, but we may give SDC a try this year. It looks like we may be meeting family there..... a lot of family if everyone shows up and some want to go to SDC on Thanksgiving, plans may change but one thought is beat the traffic and go out about 2 eat and be there ready for the park to open at 4. Of course with this many we may end up at Mcdonalds.

Do they have the forced "entertainment???" even on Thanksgiving?
i have thought of trying somewhere different, and food wise they would be a top choice. But always fear a ruined dinner if I have to listen to something I didn't go there to hear. That's what keeps us away from there most of the time.

They never have entertainment on Sundays. My guess would be not on Thanksgiving either, but to be sure, give them a call.

Can't see how they could even come close to a place like Grand Country Buffet. Cheaper, probably. Less crowded, most likely. But quality wise, just can't see it. Kind of like having a McTurkey at Mc Donalds!

Last year we ate at The Ledgestone Country Club for their Thanksgiving buffet and it was wonderful. Since it was so good last year we're going to go again this year. It's open to the public and I think the price last year was around $30.00 per person.
