Due to the inclement weather Wilson's Creek National Battlefield will be closed Tuesday, January 16th. A total closure of facilities and grounds. Drive safe and have a wonderful evening.

The national parks, along with national monuments, will be closed, but the Trump administration says it hopes to keep the gates to some parks open.

So check before going to any National Parks during the "Government Shutdown".

I read this morning that you can still drive through Wilson's Creek but the visitor center and other facilities are closed.

"National parks across the country have resumed regular operations. NPS employees are happy to be back at work, serving the American people and welcoming visitors to their national parks. We appreciate the continued support of visitors and state and local partners nationwide. Find one of the 417 parks to visit today! "
