SDC Christmas

Hubby and I are coming down to Branson November 8th through 11th. Planning on spending at least one afternoon/evening at SDC. How busy does it get this early in the season?

TIA

Paula

it's been a few years ago but we went that weekend a couple of times and it was very busy. not only do you have the Christmas stuff going on but it's also Veterans Weekend in Branson.

That's what I was afraid of.

Thank you.

I haven't been there early in the season except for weekends and those are busy. But, maybe if you tried Thursday night (11/9), the crowds would be a little lighter. Just a thought

Just back from the kick-off of An Old Time Christmas and the opening of the new Mid-Town Christmas Light Spectacular. And, OMG, Silver Dollar City has outdone themselves. It's an extraordinary experience!

DW and several pals did SDC yesterday. Third Friday of every month is always a stay at work day for me, but I did get some outstanding fudge out of the deal.
They were very impressed with the new light display, and especially blown away with the 2 Christmas shows. (Wonderful Life & Dickens) Everything from the costumes to the vocals and acting were first rate.
Crowd was not bad, but leaving after the parade was not fun.

We went Thursday evening 11/16. Very impressed with the new Christmas in Midtown area. Got to see Dickens, the Living Nativity, ride the train, eat some warm cinnamon bread, get our Christmas ornaments and 2018 season passes. By that time the park was closing -- long wait for a tram. Hope to get back in December to see and do what we missed on this trip.

The new Midtown lights are spectacular!
The amount and the brightness and the designs make it very memorable.
