I have to say the dressing was delicious! Everything was good but I was really impressed with the dressing!
Thanks for the info. I think DW and I will try a dinner at Plaza View during our yearly October trip and see how it is on a regular day.

Grand Country Buffet did it again!
Seems that they just keep getting better every year. Left Lilley's Landing at 2:05. Drove to GC, found a place to park, got in the long, but fast moving line. Through the line, and filling our plates with the most delicious food by 3:00. All the usual, whole roasted turkey, dressing, cranberry relish, sweet tater casserole, mashed taters, brown or turkey gravy, moist, and delicious dressing. Plus roast beef, ham, BBQ smoked sausage, and cajun fried fish. The amazing corn nuggets, fried okra, broccoli cheese casserole, mac and cheese, green beans, fresh baked rolls, croissants, and muffins. Probably more I can't remember. Plus a salad, soup, and fresh fruit bar bigger than most other places entire buffet! The double buffet, probably 30 or more feet long on each side is always well maintained keeping the line of hungry diners well supplied, and moving right along.
Desserts included pumpkin or apple pie, their amazing blackberry cobbler, and special for the season, a delicious pecan cobbler. Also soft serve ice cream to top your pie, make a cone, or fill a bowl to be topped with various toppings and sprinkles.
$17.99 for adults plus drink.
Every year I read about other places, and think maybe we should try them. Then we go to Grand Country, come to the conclusion that you can't improve on perfect, and ask ourselves why we even thought of trying something else.

we got there about 10:30 the line was just down to the Veterans Wall by 11:00 it was clear down to the fudge place bent back around and to the front doors.

the doors opened at 11:00 and we were seated about 11:30.

some guy behind us went and asked the first person in line how long they had been there, he was told since 8:00. don't make since to me, arrive at 8;00 stand in line until 11:00 to be first. or you can show up later and stand in line for an hour--- an hour vs three hours, why?
