Jimmy Osmond article in yesterday's paper

Osmond announces upcoming Changes…
By Becky Tipton
BDN Entertainment Editor

Branson resident and international entertainer Jimmy Osmond has announced that the “Country Tonight “ show will be relocating to what is currently called the Jimmy Osmond American Jukebox Theatre, effective Jan.1
During an exclusive interview, Osmond said he is taking a breather and working on something new for next year.
“I am taking a breath from doing 350 shows a year, which is what I have done for the past 12 year,” Osmond said. “That’s a lot of show –and, I want to continue to bring new shows to town. I’ve been blessed by other shows that I have helped. Also, I wanted to tell everyone that the Chateau on the Lake is allowing me to transform their Grand Ballroom into a theater for Christmas shows starting Nov. 1, 200f. It will be a new Christmas experience at what I think is the most spectacular setting.”
Although this new project is a huge undertaking. Osmond said the formation of this new Christmas production has not put an end to the” American Jukebox Show.”
“I love our show. It’s working and I love the people I work with,” he said. “But I have offers so take the American Jukebox Show to Blackpool England for a period of time and right before Christmas we are performing on a cruise. So the Jukebox show will continue and we will be back, hopefully full-time in 2005.

So am I right in what I read that Jimmy will only be performing in a Christmas show at the Chateau on the Lake next year? He will then bring the Jukebox show back hopefully in 2005?

Grands:

As far as I know Jimmy's show will continue thru Dec. 13th, 2003. Hope you can get back before it closes. If not, I'd ask for a refund. I shouldn't think there would be a problem.

Jimmy is such a talented young man and I will look forward to seeing his Christmas Show in 2004 at the Chateau.

YES!! Jimmy will have shows thru Dec. 13...

Grands,

Marjorie is correct. They will be continuing shows right through December 13, with 2 shows a day -- at 3pm and 7pm -- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and one show at 7pm on Wednesday.

The ONLY thing at this point which MIGHT interfere with that schedule is his Mother's health. He shared last night at the show -- fresh off the plane from his trip to England -- that she had taken a bad turn and they were not sure if she would pull through. Merrill announced at the brothers' show this morning that she had a heart attack yesterday and was not doing well. I know that they would appreciate all of our prayers for Mother Olive Osmond, and for their family at this time.

Branson Mom --

Thanks for sharingt Jimmy's news. I have had some great conversations with Jimmy about his plans and I am excited for him. I know the shows at Chateau next Christmas will be top-notch, as always!! I will miss Jimmy performing here next year on a regular basis, but I wish him well in his new endeavors. I know he's very excited about the opportunity in England, as well as the cruise.
