one thing I think would be nice is where Shep of The Hills Exp meets up with 76 there by the IHOP stoplight.... when you come up to the expressway the slope is so steep while waiting for the light to change you really have to ride the brake so you don't roll back into the car behind you... if they could gentle that slope up to the intersection some would help.

Although the rural roads in southern Minnesota tend to be flat and straight, those in northern Minnesota can be just as hilly and curvy as those is SW Missouri. But they still don't have the problem of people not staying in their lane to the extent that happens here. Maybe there is something about having 4' banks of snow on each side of the road for six months of the year that keeps you on the "straight and narrow". Stop signs and intersections can be a problem though if they haven't taken the banks back from the intersection yet. The first priority is just getting the roads clear, then remove the banks at intersections a day or two later. Minnesotans learn to slow down or stop at the intersection and honk repeatedly before heading through.

When we were in Branson last week we noticed that lots of trees have been removed for this project.

Lane changes.....

We were in Branson last week. On the way in to Indian Point, we almost hit a car that was trying to turn left off 76 into the resort there. We had the arrow to turn left off 265 onto 76, so he couldn't have had a light to turn, but he tried to. Hubby and I both had racing hearts when we got through that intersection. I think the other driver was confused by the lane changes there. We went through the intersection many times last week and there were always people who seemed to be unsure of what to do/where to go. Hope it's finished soon.
