The only place that I will 'order' meatloaf is Crackerbarel. Theirs is really good. I tried it at Lambert's and didn't care for it....and that is the only thing I've found at Lambert's that I don't like.

Mine

I know that Lamberts is not in Branson but they have really good meatloaf. Waxy O'shea's used to have a really good meatloaf I got with colcannon potatoes but it has been awhile since I have been there. I have also heard Black Oak Grille has good meatloaf.. never been there though. Maybe some of these other 1br's can help you out a lil more. I love meatloaf too, but am VERY picky about it. Rarely order it.

Oh I would think Crackerbarrel would serve this kind of dish ??

hope you can find a good one..

Not sure any more. Up until last December I would have said Moon River Grill, hands down. Now...well...they are all mediocre at best. (But I'd LOVE to try beeylou's meatloaf! I'm sure it's fab!)

My thought exactly. Particularly because I don't see meatloaf on the menu for Dobyn's Dining Room @ College of the Ozarks anymore. Those would have been my first two choices. I guess my third choice would be McFarlain's. Possibly Blue Man Grill If they still have it on the menu since the consolidation of the grill and Roadhouse. I haven't been able to get past some of my other favorites at BMG to try the meatloaf.

Meatloaf is a tricky one! I recently ordered it at a local restaurant, and it was just awful (not in any Branson establishment). First, it was hard as a rock, then it had a fist-full of thyme in it, plus it was burnt. The side dishes were okay, so at least I didn't go hungry.

I should have known better. There are certain dishes that are always a crap shoot when you eat "out" and meatloaf is one of them.

You were right to ask for meatloaf recommendations ! I'll be watching.

I love meatloaf but rarely order it out because most of the time it leaves a lot to be desired.

I also rarely recommend something on a buffet because most buffet food is not something to rave about.

That being said, when Grand Country has meatloaf on their buffet, it is really quite good. So often meatloaf is very dry but theirs is very moist and has a good tomato sauce topping. Because of the way they rotate their dishes and the volume of business they do, it is always fresh and moist.

If you try it, I hope you like it.

Grand Country is the exception to most buffets!

Ok, y'all are admitting it so I will too!! I was also thinking of the singer.
When I eat out, meatloaf is not even a consideration to order. I make a wonderful meatloaf with cheese rolled up in it. DS likes my mom's very plain meatloaf. I've never thought that brown gravy belongs on meatloaf.

Glad to see he still has a successful music carrier. Thought he became a cook in my town!
DW and I always laugh when they have meatloaf on the sign in front of a meat shop/cafe down the road. They always have the daily specials displayed. One day a couple years ago the sign read
New Cook
Meatloaf.
It's been a good laugh ever since.
(By the way, they do have great meatloaf, no matter who cooks t)
