Dickens Gift Shoppe relocating

The Dickens Gift Shoppe is leaving the strip and moving to another location downtown. Branson's Nantucket has bought the building and plans to have a craft mall in part of the building. Also, the owner of Dickens has sold the pink gorilla that was in front. More details in this Branson Tri-Lakes article:

Ah yes that explains why I saw the pink gorilla on a trailer leaving town heading north of Hwy 65 over the weekend.

I will never forget walking into this store and seeing all the flies in the case containing their fudge. Absolutely disgusting.

Look for timeshare tour booking there.

Why would they open another craft mall when the existing ones are downsizing, converting space to a quilt store, or having so many empty booths?????? I can't see this as being a positive change.

Since it was bought by a timeshare developer, my first thought was so that they could put in a timeshare booth and harrass the customers by trying to get them to agree to a timeshare presentation. They did say they were only going to make half the building a craft mall. Maybe they need the other half for offices or something (although it seems there are probably cheaper places in Branson for office space than on the strip).

The "other company" will be Branson Travel Group, LLC.

connect the dots

BTW, Branson Nantucket is one of the ugliest "resorts" I've ever seen. Nothing about it suggests Nantuckett, except for Stormy Point Village next door.

Unless they aren't telling the whole story, I don't know how they can say they are moving downtown and opening in March but they don't know where yet.

That doesn't make any sense.

That might be the reason that we liked their fudge so much.

Dickens Gift Shoppe has relocated!

Hi! This is Dianne from Dickens Gift Shoppe. The building did sell to Kevin Knasel who owns Branson Nantucket. He is putting in Branson Travel. Flynt Ray, the guy who has Whitney's is renting the store from Knasel. They did not buy Dickens Gift Shoppe, but are naming their store Dickens Craft Mall...

I have reopened Dickens Gift Shoppe in the Grand Village and we will be making our awesome fudge as soon as they get water put in for us. I was hoping to put in a store downtown but haven't found a location yet.
