Hard to say -- I know I've seen lots of tents in the Downtown City Campground. If you want lots of shade -- you might try the Shepherd of the Hills campground or Silver Dollar City campground. I know there are others around, but I think these are some of the nicest.

I agree with the S.D.C. campground. We have not stayed there YET, but it does look very nice. They have a pool and game room also.

SDC campground...stayed there last summer with my Royal Rangers troop from church. very nice place. has both modern and primitive campsites, and is very "kid friendly". Has a nice pool and I "think" there was a game room, but we didn't have time to go into it, so I can't remember for sure. And it is close to SDC of course. Very quiet, and accomodating. "We had 15 boys ages 9-12, and they were very courteous and friendly about it."
Hope This Helps!! Mike |

We stay ay America's Best Campground. Very clean and very friendly. It's not close to the strip but not hard to get to the strip either.

SDC Campground, Compton Ridge Campground, and Tall Pines Campground, all have good tent sites, with lots of shade. We used to stay in a tent, many years ago. We have stayed at all three places, at different times, and they are all nice places.
VBeason, the last time we were in Branson, there was a for sale sign at the front of Shepherd of the Hills Campgound. I believe it's closed now. |

Shepherd of the Hills Campground
I hadn't been out that way (like to go the backroads now), so I wasn't sure if it was still open or not. Thanks for the update.
Has been a few years since I've had need of a campground, sold the pop up about 6 years ago and the 5th wheel of my parents has been gone for about 15 years. Oh well. |
