Branson Variety Theater-4Season Tribute

Has anyone seen the 4 Season/Beach Boy tribute show? Is it good? Do the singers really sing, no lip sing? We are thinking about trying it, but haven't heard very many people talk about it alot.

Saw them at a promotional event--the boys did sing live, but there were a whole lot of vocal tracks behind them as well. I'm assuming their show is the same.

BTW, it's the Kings Castle Now, I think.

Does that mean in the remodel they have taken down all the BV (Bobby Vinton/Branson Variety) stuff?

Better on The Four Seasons' songs than Beach Boys, IMHO.

Thanks Bransoncutie. It is one of the few shows that we can see On Thanksgving Afternoon, so we are thinking of it. I am used to getting discount tickets, so if I am paying full price, I have to think about it...

They were fine... it was just obvious at the promotional show what was tracked and what was live. When they're not at their own venue, it's tougher to hide their tracked material. I personally just don't like tracked vocals used to make the live sound better.

We saw the show the week before the tornado hit the theater. They had just been open a couple weeks. The singers were four of the 12 Irish Tenors and they did OK singing...some of the songs seemed a bit "too high" for the lead singer, but no surprise there. They had several dancers behind them on all the songs. We personally liked the Irish Tenor show better than this one....but try it and see for yourself what you think. They may have improved the show over the months they have been out of town. They did have some canned backgrounds but I don't really mind that...we will just be happy to have the theater open again so we can go see our Irish Tenors (and hope they haven't changed TOO much over the time away....)

If you are a 4 Seasons fan, you can't go wrong with "Oh What a Night."

Yeah, imagine that...
I've said it how many times? Until people get fed up with this and stop accepting and supporting canned music, it will proliferate. Far too many easily entertained people in Branson who either don't know or don't care. Demand live music. That's what Branson was built on.

We did see it last year, and we loved it. It is not showing over Thanksgiving though, or we would pick it.
