5 Guys coming to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Another national chain restaurant is coming to the Ozarks. Five Guys Burgers and Fries will be opening at the Battlefield Mall in the summer of 2012.

The 2,400 square foot space will be the newest addition to the lifestyle section of the mall on the east side of the property, next to Ann Taylor.

According to the company website, Five Guys has more than 900 locations in 46 states and 6 Canadian provinces.

Actually, their website still shows the N.Kansas Expressway location. In fact, that's the only one shown..

I had noticed that too - North Kansas or Battlefield, makes me no difference, as I'll drive to get their either way.

I'm glad the company is coming to Springfield but I'm not excited about the mall location. We don't go to Battlefield Mall unless we absolutely have to even though we shop in Springfield every 4 - 6 weeks.

Like you, I prefer to avoid that area of town - but if that's where Five Guys is, I'll manage to make myself stop by on occasion.


The North Kansas location may be easier for you if you drive up 71 to I44, which is the route we took when dd was playing softball in Rogers/Fayetteville, Ft Smith/Russellville... If you aren't going to Branson, no sense IMO, in driving through the hills and curves.

I LOVE 5-GUYS!!!!! Their burgers are heavenly and their fries to die for. Their cajun Fries are wonderful!!!!!

Ate at the one in Wichita just last Friday, and gotta love those Cajun fries!!!

Dh told me today that he heard talk on the radio regarding Five Guys - He understood that they are going to have TWOlocations, the Battlefield location and the North Kansas Expressway location! I'd call that the best of both worlds!

It does look like there will be TWO locations.

Had heard they were putting in a location in Springfield but didn't know there would be two locations.

I enjoy their cheeseburgers and love their fresh-cut fries.......and, I normally do not care for french fries.

They are working on the mall location right now.
Not sure when it will open, but they are making progress.
