JIMMY OSMOND AND "CITY COWBOY" TO JOIN VETERANS BENEFIT JULY 4th

JIMMY OSMOND AND "CITY COWBOY" TO JOIN VETERANS BENEFIT JULY 4th
by: Rene Ray
Award winning show producer Jimmy Osmond of Branson's "American Jukebox" theater has agreed to take part in the upcoming Veteran's Benefit taking place in Branson. The First Annual BWR "Independent's" Day Picnic and Country Concert will be taking place at Stockstill Park in Branson on July 4th, beginning at 11:00 AM, and will feature Country music from the Stars of the Independent Country Music charts. Entertainers include... Marty Howard Chambers - Doreen Brown - Lolene - Debi Lynn... and just announced, from California, "City Cowboy" will also join the Independent line-up. These well known artists perform a "traditional" style of Country not found in the "mainstream" of today's music, and will perform in the free concert designed to raise funds for the Branson Veterans Task Force. In conjunction with the Annual picnic sponsored by the Task Force, the benefit will assist the Task Force with the funding of various projects, including the reforestation of Arlington National C!
emetery, and the Veterans History Project with the Library of Congress, by accepting donations throughout the event. Hosted in part by WB Television's Gene Williams of "The Gene Williams Country Music Show", and by Frank Dell, President of the Country Legends Association of Branson, the benefit will also feature several of Branson's favorite entertainers including... The American Kids - Raising America Show at The Majestic Theater Rick Langston & Company - Keepin' It Country Show - IMAX Theater Denny Yeary & Shelia Renee - The Sweethearts of Branson Show - ShowTown Theater Jimmy Osmond, Babette Young, Jim Barber, The Hamners - American Jukebox Show - American Jukebox Theater.........

Thumbs up

Sounds like it will be a fun day for a good cause.

I wonder what time Jimmy Osmond will be performing?

I'll ask him this afternoon -- I have to go over to the theatre later on business -- and let you know!

you can probably find out some more about this event at this web site---

www.bransonworldradio.com

been getting a news letter from them for about a month or so talking about this, seem to remember reading something that said they would be broadcasting a tape of the event over the internet later in the month of July, can't remember the exact date and time though.

Did anyone get to go and see Jimmy and his cast perform at this event? I wanted to go, but we had a nice family time here at home and couldn't get away....

Just wondering if Branson cutie got to go?

Actually, we talked with Jimmy about this, as well as with David Hamner. Appararently there was some sort of misunderstanding because Jimmy had never agreed to appear there. The Hamners were going to perform. But no one else.

We did go for a little while. But it was late before we got there and there was really nothing going on. I understand from what I heard from others who had been there earlier that it was not all that it had been advertised to be.
