Is that a picture of Cristy Lane directly below the star? Wasn't that her theater years ago?

Still looks a touch rough around the edges. That place needed a lot of help - hope it works out. And yes, it used to be Christy Lanes - but I cannot tell if it is her picture below the star.

So glad to see something going in that theater. Hate to see any theater standing empty, especially on the strip. Is not a good thing for tourist to see.

Hopefully, they will continue to do bits and pieces to get it looking good but, it sure looks better than it did.

Hope the productions do well.

Well, I googled and looked at some images of Cristy (and yeah, that's how she spells her stage name); the picture does look like some of the ones I saw on Google.

I checked my notebook that has the history of theaters in Branson.

There are two stories, both of which were from various publications.

One says that as of March 3, 2009, the Bart Rockett Theater is still owned by Christy Lane.

Another article says that Jimmy Osmond leased the theater to Country Tonite in 2004. Jimmy sold his interest in the theater to Bart Rockett in 2005. Opened as the Bart Rockett Theater in 2006.

Another article says that Jimmy never owned the theater, he only leased it.

And that is the correct information. Jimmy never owned the theatre, and then he "sub-leased" it to Bart Rockett.

Well the outside of the theater is looking better each day-- more pictures up out front--- & they fixed those holes in the parking lot you could loose your car in--- & doing lots of painting on the outside---- looks about 95% better than it has for quite some time--- I wish them the very very best!!!

I, too, wish them the best. I hate to see a theater standing empty. It's a sad sight.

Locals were doing what locals do...working/getting ready to go to work.

So, where is Bart Rockett, now?
