Toy Museum
The Toy Museum is located on 76 Hwy near the intersection of 76 and Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.
BIL wanted to check this out. Once you get inside the museum, it's just bunches and bunches and bunches of old toys arranged by 'groups'....lots of toy airplanes, cars, trucks, tractors, dolls, dishes, stuffed animals, Strawberry Shortcake displays, Raisins, guns, some bicycles, and on and on and on. Everything is behind glass. I didn't think it was a very 'appealing' display. The part of the museum that I most enjoyed was the short film on the life of Harold Bell WRight, very informative. I believe the cost per person to 'tour the museum' was about $11. 'Been there, done that' kind of thing and none of us have any desire to do it again! Last edited by shis1; 06-05-2010 at 09:38 AM. |

I think you can purchase just the Harold Bell Wright tickets by themselves.
I really enjoyed the film also, Shis1. As I remember it starred Harold Bell Wright's Son and Grandson...or perhaps Grandson and Great-grandson? I also enjoyed looking at the many items Harold Bell Wright made and collected. He was a very good Artist. That Harold Bell Wright Museum inside the Toy Museum has so many treasures. I have been puzzled how they acquired them. I searched and here's the pricing for the Toy Museum or the Harold Bell Wright Museum or for Both: http://www.bransontourismcenter.com/...est-toy-museum Last edited by Suselit; 06-04-2010 at 01:47 PM. |

As far as ticket pricing, the day we toured the Museum they said they were letting you tour the Harold Bell Wright museum 'free' as part of the regular toy museum ticket. I wondered if this was 'really' a special, but guess it was.

My son and I went through this a couple years ago and I enjoyed it. It brought back alot of memories. I saved most of my sons toys and I saw things that I had forgot that I had.

I have just a few of my toys from childhood, but I have saved almost everything our daughters had. ANd I saw 'some of the same toys' in this museum. ![]() |

I liked the museum, I had some free passes to go through it. I wouldn't have wanted pay to go through it. I did see lots of toys that I used to have and liked seeing them, thinking I wish I still had this toy or doll.

we went thru it a couple years ago. we enjoyed it. the only thing I didn't like was they had a timeshare or ticket guy in there at a booth. because of that we won't go back but he may not be there anymore. I don't know.
