Condo???
Okay here is the deal.....we are trying to find a condo for the summer...most of our activities will be done in town...the only thing we will do out of town is SDC....I did find a nice condo at Fairways @ Thousand Hills through Vrbo...is this pretty close to town and is it pretty nice?

We really like the Foothills. It's really in town -- just down from the Comfort Inn Thousand Hills and Residence Inn. Indoor and outdoor pools. Very convenient.

Thank you to everyone for all of your advice.....I ended up renting a unit thru VRBO at Pointe Royale...I got a 2 bedroom unit for July 4 at a rate of $540 for the week...which I feel is a heck of a deal.

Yes, you are close to the strip and yes Thousand Hills is very nice. VRBO is a great resource. Also, there are people on this forum who rent condos.
