Owens Theater and Joseph Hall
The Owens Theater is now being rented and renovated by Joseph Hall, the 25 year old who performed as an Elvis tribute artist on "America's Got Talent".
Joseph Hall will soon have a show at the Owens Theater, Eras of Elvis. Here's the story from Branson Tri-Lakes: http://bransondailynews.com/story.php?storyID=14577 |

Thanks B.C. for the interesting article.
It sounds like it will be a much different theater than we have seen in the past. I wish him the best of luck in his adventure. Do you know if Hot Hits, across the street from Owens, is going to have some of the shows that were at Owens. I know last season they were supposed to have some of them but I know some of them were cancelled.

A Lincoln, NE radio station announced last year his parents sold their restaurant here to invest in an old theatre with Joseph in Branson. His family may own it instead of renting. I know it won’t make a difference to the audience if they own or rent, but I was bringing it up because it would make me nervous to give up my profitable business and invest in another Elvis show in Branson. If Branson didn’t already have an Elvis or 2 it would be another story. Hope it works out for him.

I know "Elvis" acts are not new in this town and there is some good competition but I think it is great that his parents have that much confidence in him. I join you in hoping it is good for the entire family and they enjoy being in Branson.

I remember him from AGT. I thought he was a very good young Elvis.

I just got home from the Joseph Hall show and I think it was a very good show. He's a great singer and a very good looking young man. That said, it is a one man show and I think he could use a couple of backup singers/dancers. Not that he can't hold the show but a little variety would be nice. Maybe in the future since this is a brand new show. It is totally family run...his brother, sister and parents all have a hand at the technical parts of the show. Tickets are $29.50 and the show lasted an hour and a half with a 15 minute intermission.
His family has put tons of money into the old Owens Theater and it looks great. I think it's a wonderful thing that we have a great show in the Historic Downtown. I hope you all gets a chance to see it and I truly hope it get a good following and is here for a long time to come. Did I mention he is very good looking? ![]() Last edited by mouse : 02-04-2010 at 10:10 PM. |

Thanks for the review.
I am glad to see that someone has fixed up the Owens Theater. It is such a part of Branson history--first theater here.

I live in Nebraska and saw him several times -- he is truly a class act, both onstage and off. He's possibly the best Elvis tribute artist I've ever seen... and yes, I've seen Tony Roi. I definitely wish him all the best in Branson and look forward to seeing his show in the "new" theatre sometime soon!

That being said, Thursday was a cold and rainy night at the beginning of February. Hopefully once word gets out his theater will be full. The theater has 167 seats. |
