Review of my Trip June 28- July 4th
Ratings 1-5
Arrived in Branson on Sunday June 28th. Went right to Grand Country Buffet for Dinner. I give it a 4. Good selection and we were tired so the eat fast for the kids were great. Monday June 29th- Got up and went to SDC. Had Apple and Cherry turnovers at the bakery- 5, Cotton Candy – 5, and Strawberry lemonade-5. We saw the Veggie Tales show at 11:30- 5 Ate Lunch at Danna’s Hamburger and Fries 4; Kids Chicken strip meal-5; Strawberry Milkshakes- 5 Went swimming at the pools at our condo (Meadow Brooke)-5 Went shopping at Tanger Mall- Disney store had great deals and the Music store is having a sale on Children’s books. Ate dinner at Quizno’s at the IMAX- Good Sandwiches-5 Tuesday June 30th – Went to Breakfast at the Grand Country-4. Excellent Biscuits, and Omelets made to order. Went to Play at the Fun Spot- Very cool. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to pay to play in the ball/playground thing and the toddler Comfy zone. Went Shopping at Target, TJ Maxx, and Books a Million- Really didn’t find much. Went to the Landing and Walked around. They had a bunch of D.A.R.E. officer cars lined up down the middle as a fun raiser. That was really neat. I didn’t find anything to buy. Went to the Dollar store. Found a few things. It is not as “nice” as it use to be. We use to fill up on junk there. Ate at Backyard Burgers- 4 I had the Bacon Cheese burger and the kids had Chicken strips and so did my hubby. Every night after 4 the kids meals are 99 cents with a purchase of a value meal. Stopped at Maggie Moos-5 I am not sure what I got. Hubby went in and ordered while I was in the car with the kids. But it was good! Wednesday July 1st – Went to SDC at 8:30. It was not crowded at all. They had several picnic table set up with things to do. My son loved the tinker toys and the colored sand tables. We got cinnamon rolls on the way in for breakfast. We then went to all the kid rides. And my 4 year old rode the big pirate ship for the first time. He loved it. He is like me when it comes to rides. Try anything once. Then we went to see JEERK at 11. It was ok. It is a lot of Hip hop. The kids really liked it though. We always play the carnival games to take back something for the cousins. I like that you win something no matter what. We finished up with a trip to “watch” the log rides and stop by the candy store on the way out. We ate Lunch at Grand Country-4 The food was good. It was easy with the kids. They had pizza on the buffet so that was good for my 4 year old. Later we went to the Red Roof Mall and we didn’t find much. The guys found a few deals at the tool store and the Black and Decker store. We ate a DQ-3. It was good for fast food. Thursday July 2nd- We spent another day at SDC. It was a little more crowded. The only thing we did different this day was have lunch there. We had extra long corn dogs. They were really good.-5 In the evening we went to The Landing. We had dinner at Famous Daves. Their lunch menu goes till 5. I had the stuffed baked potato. It was Ok –4 My Hubby had the 2 meat combo with potato salad. –4 The potato salad wasn’t anything special. My in-laws had the baked patato salad combo-5. I wish I had gotten that. It was a better value than what I got. We then shopped. I got some good deals at the Christian Book Store. And My Hubby found a great back massager at Brookstone. The Disney store had the little kids t-shirts 2 for $12. Friday July 3rd – We got up and went to the Vanity Fair Store at the Branson Meadows Mall. We found some clothes with a good price. I also got a gift for someone at the Christian book Outlet. Then we went to the Red Roof Mall to Shop Tuesday Mornings. We didn’t find a thing. I can see why this place isn’t shopped much. We did a drive by Tanger and it looked like they had a lot on sale. Our son needed a nap so we didn’t stop. For lunch I called in an order to Danna’s. Yummo-5 I got the nachos and My son and Hubby got hamburgers. All very good. We took our son back to the Fun Spot. He had his Eye on a Spiderman toy. So we had to go back and win more tickets. He was so excited. We then went back to Tanger. The kids got shoes from the Bass Store that are like Crocs. They were originally $28 each and we payed $18 for both. Then we made it to the Big Daddy Chesters for dinner. It was Awesome. Chicken Fried Chicken, BLT, Mac and Cheese, Fried Green Tomatoes, side Salad. It was all Top of the line! We are now packed and are heading out in the morning to go back home. Its been great Branson. Hope to see you soon! |

We were at the Landing the same day. All of those Dare officers collecting money. I got my mom's original perfume made at Bath Junkie. Stop and see Robert and Sue Ellen. There products are wonderful and Robert has a nose like you wouldn't believe! Take him in any scent and he will whip it up in no time!

Great review for a great vacation. At least you did find some good bargains during your shopping trips. Seems like this year I had to look long and hard to find good deals.
