Hardluck Diner REVIEW (GC)

Seating: 6:30
Crowd: Packed out (all of the first part was packed out, and 2/3 of the overflow room was filled). They were evidently not expecting such a crowd, so the manager/owner had hopped in and was helping serve tables. By 6:45, there was a line out the door, until after we left at 7:30. Our waitress told us that at 6:00 they were expecting a very slow evening, and had sent one attendant home, but then they were surprised. With such a crowd they did a great job, and of course a full house contributes to a great feeling.
Bill: $39.98; Tip: $8.00 (they kept my tea glass filled)
Food: 3 burgers; 1 Roast Beef plate. The burgers were large and very good, perhaps 1/2 lb. burgers. Roast beef was also large, but just okay.
Entertainment: pretty good singers, we had two different ladies, and one gentleman.
Rating: 7 (definitely do again--it's a tradition).

This is our traditional first-stop after the drive to Branson, a trip to the grocery store, and unpacking in the condo. It is very pleasant, and the weather is just wonderful. Fireworks are legal in Branson, so the kids were excited about buying some.

You know, we have stayed right next door to Hard Luck a couple times a year for at least a decade, love the Grand Village itself, and we have never got around to eating there!

Will have to make it a priority when we get back to town!

One of the best places to eat in Branson,....period! Great food, great entertainment and an all around great time.

Our favorite server there is Bernie Parquette who sings only gospel music. Matt Kester & Jason are also great guys and former American Idol contenders, too.

We always have a great time there and I'd guess we eat there two or three times a week.

We ate at Hardluck Diner last time we were in Branson. The food was really good and singing was good, but we found it hard to visit with the others at the table as the music was pretty loud.

Bernie is also our favorite,she sang to me on our last trip.I also bought a couple of her cds.It was our first time to try it but we will make it a regular stop from now on.Enjoy reading reviews,and is more meaningful if it is a place you've tried or wanted to.
