Mike Walker Show
We had seen Mike when he was at the Mickey Gilley Theater and really enjoyed him, so wanted to see him again this trip. Glad we did. He has a 2 hour show on the free stage inside the Branson Mall by WalMart on Hwy 76. Had a very good crowd, most all seats were filled and people were standing around the area. Usually at a show of this type (Free) people come and go, but we noticed that most stayed the entire 2 hours. This show was every bit as good as the show Mike did when in the theater. For those who aren't familiar with Mike's show, he does lots of impersonations.......my favorite is the one he does of Conway Twitty. We all know that the entertainers 'do' these 'free' shows for tips, and Mike Walker has a really cute, unique way of 'pulling in the tips'
 He has a drawing---today he gave away a $50 gift card, a cd and a picture. To get your name in the drawing, you have to write it on a 'bill' ----$1, $5, $10, etc. and drop it in the tip jar! Kind of clever way, don't you think! Must say, I think Mike did pretty good with the tip jar today.! We really enjoyed this show and will give Mike a 9.Some might think that's a bit high of a rating for a 'free show', but we are wishing Mike much success and hope he gets a gig in a theater again! Saw Mike Walker last week and had seen him at Gilleys also.
I believe that was the third time we saw him at Branson Mall. It amazes me how his voice hols up, day after day. He did a walk on at Gilleys also. He says they remain best friends. I too hope he ends up in a theater soon.

Great show, we have seen him already 4 times this year, and I know I am going back at least one more time when more company rolls in from CA.
If your in town you have to catch his show you won't be sorry. |

Great, great show by a talented performer, and seems like a genuinely nice guy as well. We wish him all the best.
