Smile Whipper Snappers Seafood Buffet

Has anyone had any experience with this buffet? With the exception of my one son who is allergic to shellfish, we all enjoy seafood. However, since I've found some mixed reviews, I'd certainly appreciate further input before we decide whether or not to go.

That is correct. And I understand it's still not worth finding. If you're wanting a seafood buffet I'd go to The Rails or Starvin' Marvins before I'd go to Whipper Snappers.

We don't care for Whippersnappers. We really enjoy good seafood but also like a little variety on a buffet. Their seafood buffet consists of lobster, crablegs and a salad section and not much else.

Our favorite spot for seafood is Starvin Marvin's. Crablegs are very good and their buffet has a good variety of other items--BBQ ribs, shrimp fettucine, fried potatoes, froglegs, salad bar and various other dishes. They have the best blackberry cobbler I have eaten in Branson.

And don't you have to walk by the dumpsters to enter Whippersnappers? That would turn me off to start with.

That wouldn't be a pre-meal sight or smell that would interest me.

If I were really hungry, which I usually am, that would really turn me off.

Lynnda, being that you are a lot closer to the coast at home, and fresh seafood, than we have here - you should be aware that most of Branson's seafood buffets are going to be fried shrimp, fried catfish, fried frog legs, and a possible crab leg or lobster and hush puppies. You aren't going to find scallops, oysters, calamari, red snapper, tuna... on the buffets in Branson. I love seafood, and I've never found seafood in the midwest that compares to what I've had in any coastal area.

Let's see now. Peppercorns right above Whippersnappers and dumpsters at the entrance of Whippersnappers. Sounds like a couple of problems with this location. I would keep driving on down 76 to Starvin Marvin's.

Bluesman, you are correct.. Peppercorn's is TERRIBLE! I'd have to believe Whipper Snappers would be about the same.

You would be better off going to Mcdonalds for a Filet-O- Fish.

We were told our last trip there 2 weeks ago that the locals all know about the Nolan Fogle owned restaurants but the tourists don't. Then the tour busses roll into town and they stop at these places and the people on board get a taste of some really crappy food and service..

One place you won't find us

Thanks to everyone for the information. Needless to say, this is one place that I'm sure we'll avoid.
