Cracker Barrel

Ate a late lunch there Monday. There were 5 of us, and everyone was extremely happy with the meal and the service. 5 different meals were ordered and all were very good ---- grilled meatloaf sandwich, cheese burger, grilled chicken strip dinner and 2 vegetable plates........

Cracker Barrel has some wonderful salads. They have a grilled chicken, fried chicken tenderloin, and some others. They are huge!

Same here - we can go in and have grilled meat, and fresh steamed veggies, or a salad, or we can have fried foods.........you only have to eat healthy if you want to.

Most of the meals we eat at Cracker Barrel (not just the one in Branson), are breakfast meals.
We love their breakfast!!
But, on the rare occasion that we do eat another meal, it has always been good!
I love their grilled catfish!

We discovered back in May that you can eat healthy at Cracker Barrel. We like their grilled chicken tenderloins with the steamed veggies. But I admit to liking their fried foods better but we are doing our best to avoid that kind of cooking now except for a special treat.

They had one menu item that was so delicous...for breakfast, everything covered in gravy...geese it was so good, probably very salty....loved it.

I really loved the meatloaf...I haven't eaten there, looking for healthy...we avoid all those haunts for salad bars..will have to try it again....hubby won't eat hot steamed veggies...hates them all..........
He like fresh salad veggies.........

And, he cannot have corn and pototoes...that's all he likes.
Amazing everything he loves is not NOT ON HIS MENU....probably what made him sick...carbohydrates.

I love all veggies .......cooked or fresh...

We always ate at Cracker Barrel near Springfield on I44...in Springfield?

I love the gift shop and the clean bathrooms too..that always made an impression on me....

I need to find something to eat...roflol...man, I skipped breakfast...totally forgot it...............but I had a glass of V8 (low sodium)

I hope you were not in Branson when you were eating healthy. Isn't that like Un-American?

Well over Memorial Day weekend, yes we ate healthy... DH had just had a heart scare a few days before the trip. His problems ended up not being heart related but his cholesterol was very high. So that alone scared us into eating healthy even on vacation. But over Labor Day weekend we are allowing us a fried meal at Chester's!
