Food Reviews (June trip) LOTS pics!
Famous Daves
Hubby, daughter and friend shared the Half Feast (about $30.)   I had a BBQ chicken salad. Salad was very good, but I found a couple large pieces of gristle in the chicken. One of the chicken pieces on the Feast wasn't quite done either. Daughter and hubby said the ribs were better at Texas Roadhouse. Famous Daves receives a 3 1/2 stars out of 5. The corn muffins rated a 5 out of 5. Mel's Hard Luck Diner Hubby got a chili burger, the girls both got hotdogs (HUGE hotdogs  ) and I got a salad (again). The food was all rated 5 out of 5 this trip. All of the waiters/waitresses amazed us with their singing!  Elenita's Mexican (on Green Mountain) Hubby and daughter split chicken fajitas. The fajitas were more meat and less vegetables... my daughter claims these were the best fajitas she has ever had. Friend got a chicken dish which she liked very much. I had spinach enchiladas which were very good. Chips and salsa was pretty good too. We rate Elenitas a 4 1/2 out of 5.  Chesters Started here with Fried Pickles which were very good.  Hubby got the Rueben.  I got the Vegetable Pannini. The girls split a classic burger (no pic of that).  Chesters receives a 5 out of 5 stars from us. We really wanted to go back for breakfast the day we left, but didn't have time.  The man that owns Chesters (I assumed he was the owner anyhow) was super nice. Can't wait to go back!Glenn's Frozen yogurt (in the Fun Spot)  4 out of 5 stars. Can't say many bad things about hot fudge on frozen custard! Hope you enjoyed my reviews. Are you hungry now??  |

Thank you for your wonderful reviews!!!! You have inspired me to make corn muffins for our evening BB although I know they won't be as good as Famous Dave's.

Fantastic pictures!!! I will have to try the veggie sandwich when we go to Chesters again. Would like to have the fried pickles too but David don't like such.

Thanks for the review, ratings and pictures. We plan to try Elenitas Tues. evening. We don't really do Mexican except for Taco Johns

Just finished eatng but am hungry again looking at the picture of those BBQ ribs from Famous Dave's. Tomorrow may be a BBQ day. Thanks for the wonderful review and pictures.
