Our trip 6/6 through 6/13 - food

We had lots of good food while we were there as always.

DANNA'S - we actually ate at Danna's twice by popular request of the grandkids. We ate the beef barbeque platter, the kids had chicken strips both times. We also had extra rolls because everyone loves them. (I have to stop eating now until my next trip or I will have to get a bigger car). All the food from Danna's was good. Our total bill for 4 of us was about $39 including tip.

MCFARLAINS - we had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and I had a chicken fried steak which was good. 21 year old granddaughter had pot roast which she said was also very good. The littler kids had grilled cheese and chicken strips. I had a 15% off coupon and our total bill for 4 of us was $36 including tip.

LAMBERT'S - We went very early in the day and had very little wait to get in. We had chicken fried steak which as always was wonderful. Little ones had roast beef which they liked a lot. The food was excellent and pass arounds were great. We didn't want to eat again that day. Total bill was $48 including tip.

BOB EVANS - I had turkey and dressing and older granddaughter had beef stir fry. Both were very good. All side dishes were good as well as warm rolls.
Total bill was $37 including tip.

SHOGUN - we decided to do this one night and it was very good. We all had steak. The cook was very entertaining and everything was prepared nicely. We think the Japanese steak house we have near home is better but this was very good. Total bill including tip was $94.

KEETER CENTER (I think there's a better name for this restaurant but can't remember) - this was our favorite meal this trip. It is such a lovely place and has such wonderful attentive service. I had a club sandwich, and granddaughter had a reuben sandwich. Little ones had chicken quesadillas. We all had one of their wonderful desserts. Total bill including tip was $41.

PANERA BREAD - we were not extremely hungry with all the meals we had been eating and decided on Panera for soup and sandwiches. It was good as always. Total bill was $25.

We wanted to try Chester's but each time we went by there we were too late in the day and they were closed. Maybe next trip.

You picked some good places to eat. We sure enjoy eating at the Keeter Center too. This trip we're planning to do the Sunday brunch. We like Danna's too. I'm trying to decide if we should go up to Lamberts for lunch one day to meet our son and his family as they plan to lunch there before they travel on to Branson.

Sounds as though you and your family ate very well on this trip; thanks for the review and thanks for including how much you paid for your meals.

Dobyn's Dining Room is the restaurant name.

My husband and I have been told about the Sunday brunch at Keeter's. What would we see on this brunch? We're staying at a bed and breakfast, so the brunch would need to be really good.

Three of the restaurants you mentioned are also favorites of mine:

Chester's
Danna's
Keeter Center

Glad you enjoyed your meals and your trip to Branson.
