Fourth of July trip

We just got back from Branson on June 6-12. We loved it we are planning to go back for the july 4th weekend. We live in East Texas and this is a 6 hour drive for us. We are leaving on Friday the 3rd and returning on Sunday the 5th. We are hoping to see some really good fireworks both nights. I have read the thread on the different events, but based on others experience what should we do both nights. It seems once you visit Branson you cannot stay away. Anyway any suggestions would be welcomed. We are staying at the Green Mountain inn this time any comments on the hotel would be welcomed also.

We have stayed there once, it is nice, nothing fancy, but would stay there again.

Stayed at the Green Mountain Inn last September and will be staying there again this September. Sandy and Dan are very nice people to deal with and the rooms are clean - not fancy - but we don't spend much time in the room anyhow. Love their dogs (3) also - they come greet you when you come in the door.

This will be the first fourth of July I will be in the Branson area, so I am pretty excited as well. I am guessing Kimberling City is the best place for fireworks on the 4th and the best viewing area will be from the lake.

There is a thread a little bit further down (you may have seen it) that details the shows. It looks like Branson Landing has a show on the 3rd along with a free concert. It will probably be VERY busy, but the Landing was listed as one of the best displays in the Nation on MSN. In the list, it does say there will be another display on the 4th.
