Sorry I can't help you with Branson, BUT if you happen to go through Kansas City on your way to Branson, plan on stopping at Strouds.

We stopped there last month and it is the first time I ever thought chicken and gravy tasted like it did years ago. The only problem was the amount you were served and it was a way to much.

If someone knows of a place in Branson, I"ll give it a try later this month.

Chesters has pan fried chicken on Sundays. I find it very hard to beat. It's served family style with all the trimmins' in separate bowls. More than you can eat!

Culver's in Branson has some of the best fried chicken in town -- and I rank it right up there with Strouds in KC. and the only other place is at the Branson Cafe downtown. They also have good chicken, but I would take Culvers over theirs.

I'll have to try Culver's fried chicken. Especially if you rank it up there with Strouds -- they set a pretty high standard!

I really like their chicken. It is very good. In fact, we found it one day and when we can't afford to go to Strouds but want a chicken fix, we go to Culvers. Besides, even with the new Strouds, if you aren't there early early, there is a good 40 minutes to an hour and a half wait.

I agree. My wife and I had fried chicken at Culver's the last time we were in Branson. If I've ever had better fried chicken I sure don't remember it. Culver's burgers and fries are just slightly above average in my opinion. But their fried chicken is DELICIOUS!!

I love eating at Culvers. I haven't had anything bad there. Everything has been good. Their roastbeef melts in your mouth! Yummy!

You're from up north and obviously don't know what good fried chicken tastes like. Trust me...Culver's ain't it...not even close. That place is adequate fast food, on their best day.

The best fried chicken in my opinion is Lamberts Cafe in Ozark.
