Read on another forum where most activities at Dogwood Canyon are closed due to severe damage from 'the recent hurricane' ???? Anyone have any knowledge of this?

From Dogwood Canyon's website:

Due to recent storm damage, walking, biking, and public fishing activities have been temporarily suspended. We are currently open for tram tours, horseback riding, and scheduled activities such as guided fishing, fishing clinics, Orvis school and private jeep tours.

We are also still hosting the Outdoor Fitness Festival 50K/25K Trail Run scheduled for Sunday, October 26th. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Beginning Sunday, November 2, the park will be closed for storm damage renovations. We anticipate re-opening in early spring.

We are still hosting 2008 Christmas in the Canyon, Friday and Saturday evenings, November 7th – December 13th. Please contact us during office hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) if you need further assistance.
