What is Shoji's Christmas show like? Is there a lot of singing or is it mostly music and dance? We are looking for an afternoon show for the Friday after Thanksgiving...any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

The Christmas has alot of singing and some dancing if I remember correctly. We saw it last season and thought it was great. I would recommend it.

Shoji's is always good, Presley's is another good choice for Christmas. Also Andy Williams.

Thank you both very much! I just thought of something I forgot to ask last night. Is the show all Christmas, or is it half of the regular show and half Christmas? Thanks again!!

If you decide against Shoji (and I'm not saying you should), I'd echo the recommendation for Andy Williams' show. They are both fantastic entertainers with first rate shows!

We really like Shoji's Christmas show. It's quite a production, and well worth seeing.

FWIW, I can't find the thread, however, I know it's here.
Someone mentioned a while back that Shoji had fired all the dancers and the resulting show was not as good as past shows. |

Also........fwiw...... Even before many of the dancers were fired, I noticed that his entire show was becoming a shadow of what he had presented in recent years......jmo........

Andy Williams is just like watching his Christmas show on TV. I even went on e-bay to find his Christmas DVD. It was produced years ago, but it is one of my favorites!

Its because they deleted my thread... apparently the truth apparently cant be heard... but if you have been to one shoji christmas you have seen them all....... they are always the same , as a matter of fact i just came back from vegas and saw a routine from the shoji show in all 4 vegas shows i went to ... hmm guess they arent that original there at the STS......... but yes they did fire all their dancers after their layoff in august... Im not sure how the show is now as i refuse to give those immoral people another dime but everyone i have talked to says Shoji needs to hang up his fiddle and just play golf because the show is all but done. No effort put into it at all... Oh well on a side note i hear they are gonna be doing a new show next year i cant remember if i heard the mansion or what but they are going to do Peter pan the musical and rumors of Oklahoma the musical too... we will see

We saw the Shoji show last June and we thought it lacked something it had in prior years. We are sad to hear that his show is going downhill as it seems to appear it is. This was one of my family's favorites for many years.
As far as some kind of musical theater like Oklahoma, I think that would be a great addition to Branson entertainment. Maybe even some kind of revolving shows so that there was a different show coming in from time to time - sort of like the dinner playhouses that are in some cities (not necessarily the dinner element though). |

CoachMan posted an overall trip review in Chit Chat. While he didn't go in to see the Shoji show on November 5th, his tour group did; the group reported that it was the "Same Old, Same Old". I wouldn't considered that to be a great review.
