Talking The Downing Street Boys!

I attended the gospel sing last night, and it was wonderful. I am guessing there was around 500 people there. The concert was dedicated to the memory of the late Chad Fuqua. Sp?

The Boys did a great job. The setting was perfect at the Hollister City Park. The lord blessed us with great weather. Famous Daves was there serving that great chopped pork. The guys kept everybody happy, doing songs like Winging my way back Home, give the world a smile, Pearl Buttons, Working on a building, and closed the night with Trey Wilson singing lead on the great classic Little is Much. The sound wasn't the best, but, for their first time it was great.

David Ponder did a wonderful job singing tenor, and, singing lead on a song he wrote called " I speak Life to you".

Trey as always did a wonderful job, even providing comedy in some spots. For my money he is one of the best lead singers around.

It was good to see Ronnie Page out there. Ronnie is getting up there in years, but, you couldn't tell that last night. He did a wonderful job as the baritone and Emcee. The guys gave him a hard time about being older and it was funny.

Lucas Case played the keys for the boys. He did a great job and had a solo on Mansion over the Hilltop.

Last but most assuredly not leat Mark McCauley. I don't know if you can find a better Bass singer, I think not, but i know a nicer man you will never meet.Mark kept the low notes coming all night. i even felt my chair shake a couple of times.

We totally agree. It was a great night. Hopefully it will not be the last time the Downing Street Boys preform.

A gospel concert in Hollister and 500 people show up. Who woulda thunk it?
