Only one show......

We go to Branson 5 to 7 times a year and have seen a ton of shows. Next month we are going with another couple who has never been to Branson or not in a really long time. Guys are playing golf during the day and we will be shopping. We will probably only go to one show but I am not sure which show would be the best. I don't think they are big country music people and they told me just to pick and it would be fine. I am thinking SIX is probably the best all around show. Give me your opinion.

I am sure that is really good but it is about twice the price of the other shows.

SIX was awesome when I saw it ... I will go and see Noah sometime, but the price is keeping me away right now. I don't mind paying that price if it is dinner and a show - but I don't believe you get dinner there.

SIX would be a good show to introduce someone to Branson shows. Grand Jubilee or Pierce Arrow would also be good choices.

if I was picking just one... i'd go with Mickey Gilley, not typical pure country and great comedy.

I know it is country but if you've never been to Branson then the Presley's or Baldknobbers are always good choices.

little fun and a meal -- Dixie Stampede

Not sure that I'd classify Six as a 'novelty act'. Novelty acts tend to be jugglers, hypnotists, ventriloquists, CLOWNS, etc. Six (an all brothers act with a great family vocal blend) is comprised of strong vocalists who perform a wide variety of a capella (no instrumental accompaniment) music. They consistently get good reviews. It's something different.

Noah is musical theatre with a biblical story foundation. Big production value (large cast, massive sets, lots of costumes, special effects, animatronics, etc.). Enjoyable, if a bit more pricey than other shows in town. I'd rather spend more money for a good show than less money for a weak show. It is a ministerial outreach - if you like entertainment with a message, this is it.

Liverpool Legends re-create the Beatles during their heyday 60s. Ed Sullivan, Shea Stadium, Sgt. Pepper, Abbey road- if you are a Beatles fan, you'd like the show. If you just like music, you'd like this show, too! Even youngsters unacquainted with Beatles music seem to enjoy discovering the songs, as well.

Clay Cooper offers a small, country show feel. Well done entertainment if you're not looking for the ultimate WOW experience. A good choice if country is your cup of tea. good talent, likable people.

Andy Williams offers the legend himself- still in fine voice! Good show orchestra, beautiful lighting and sound. Check and see when and with whom is performing.

If you've never seen some of the more 'down home' show experiences, try The Presleys or The Baldknobbers. Walk on showcase singing, cornball humor, good bands playing nice arrangements. Preselys is a bit more glitzy than the Baldknobbers, but if you like the friendly, Ozarky country music styled shows, try one of these.

How about Bill Medley and Paul Revere for a celebrity show? Nice theatre, ok sound, good band. Bill and Paul offer their classic style of rock n' roll. Sold a lot of records with the hits you'll hear in this concert style production.

If you want a sweet story based musical try Breaking Up Is hard To Do. It is set to the musical catalog of Neil Sedaka. Small sized musical theatre done well.

And there are more options!

Definitely some good shows to choose from. It all depends on your style preference, what's available when you're here and how much you are willing to spend. Have fun!

Six is a great show and think most anyone would enjoy it. Presleys is good too, but more of the country theme.

The Rankin Brothers show would be a good non-country show with a lot of variety of songs from the 50's through 90's done in the style of the original artists.
