Shanghai Circus or Liverpool Legends?
I am organizing several days of fun in Branson for 80 people. They are from all over the country and of different tastes. Average age range about 50 - 70. Have booked Clay Cooper (love him!) and think I am going to book Yakov for a morning show which leaves me with a free night. Originally thought Shanghai Circus but a few reviews mention getting bored and I need a crowd pleaser. Would Liverpool Legends be a better pick? Any other suggestions?

I guess you could say that 80 people would have more fun whooping it up at a Beatles concert than they would gasping while watching acrobats. Seems this would be a great poll for your attendees. In fact when we have guests, I ask them if they would prefer a show featuring wall to wall music or something else. If it's music we pick a style and move on from there. Good luck...I'm sure your group will be impressed with either choice.

I haven't seen Shanghai Circus, but would HIGHLY recommend Liverpool Legends. I haven't seen Presley's or Baldknobbers...so, couldn't recommend either...they're not my type of shows.

Perhaps The Legends in Concert. (not Liverpool Legends).......Andy Williams......The Rankins...... Not everyone 50 - 70 cares for the Beatles, even though they were "the craze" during that age group's high school/college years.....jmo..... Last edited by Crazy4Branson : 09-04-2008 at 12:50 PM. |

The Rankin Brothers have gotten rave reviews on several forums and their music covers the 50's through the 90's. Music styles have plenty of variety and is done with the sound and style of the original artists. The shows listed above are all good; Liverpool Legends is outstanding but it consists of a full night of Beatles music only. Since you are trying to satisfy the tastes of 80 people, 50 - 70, this is a show that should be considered. The last time we saw the show there was dancing in the aisle to the twist including an elderly lady twisting while leaning on her walker.

How about "50s At The Hop" show? High energy, singing, dancing, Jerry Lee Lewis.... appeals to all ages, especially 50-70 age group!

The Rankin brothers for sure! Nothing boring about them. I still think they are the best show in Branson, with the exception of Jackson Cash. If he isn't J C's long lost son, he sure oughta be.

Come on people. They asked about Liverpool Legends or the Chinese Acrobats...stop pushing your own agendas with these other shows!
Personally, I think these shows are two of the best branson has to offer. And, they are different from the low-brow, toothless comedian and bolo tie-wearing country music family shows that Branson is known for (God help us!)..You can't go wrong with either one. Have a great time in town! |

I've seen both those shows, and would see Liverpool Legends in a heartbeat. Acrobats were good, but it's not a show I'd see again. Liverpool Legends is entertaining from beginning to end, and it's one I'd see over and over.
