Punk & Gangsta, Show Review '08

[BRANSON PUNK]

Labor Day weekend review. I'll rate them on a scale of ten.

Friday evening: Bob Nelson Show. Very entertaining, fun filled, clean comedy show for all ages. Rating: 8.

Saturday: Celebration City. We had a good time, like always at CC. The fireworks show is awesome!! Rating: 8

Sunday: Afternoon, Hamner Barber Show. Very good variety show featuring magic, a ventriloquist, singing, and comedy. The birds used in the show are beautiful. Rating: 8

Sunday evening: Rankin Brothers Show at the Welk Theater. Met several friends from this forum for dinner and show at the Welk complex. If you haven't had a chance to see this show, put it on your "must see" list. The show is very fast paced and extremely entertaining. These guys had us rocking in the aisles. Many of us were doing the twist and other dances near the stage. AWESOME time had by all. The BEST show we have seen in Branson in a long time. Rankin Brothers ROCK!! Rating: 10+

We thought the Rankins were great as well. Hopefully they (welk) have found a way to upgrade the lighting and overall stage sets.

Was the dinner worthwhile??

As one who was there Sunday night I offer my opinion. The lighting, sound system, set, is probably the best in town. And, yes, I have seen (almost) every show in town.

Dinner at the Stage Door was excellent. It was buffet style for the holiday weekend but DH and I have also ordered from their menu and we were very pleased.

I was one of the people from this board that met the others at the Stage Door for supper and then went to see the Rankin Brothers show. I've eaten off the menu and off the buffet at different times, the food was great each time.

If you haven't seen the Rankin Brothers show, you should go see it, it's one of my FAVORITE shows in Branson. The brothers names are Matt and Mark. When Mark and Matt sing songs of the Righteous Brothers, they had the hair standing up on my arms, they sound just like them. They gave me goosebumps on top of goosebumps. Mark also does a really great Elvis and Neil Diamond too. When Matt sings Buddy Holly, he's just like him too. They are AWESOME!! GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!

I was one of the group that meet and had supper and saw the Rankin Brothers. I was not sure what to expect for the show but I had invisioned 2 guys setting on stage singing and picking a guitar or banjo.

I was totaly wrong. The show was fantastic and I loved every minute of the show. I was really NOT expecting very much from the show but we all went as a group so "I was there". I was totally blown away by the show and talent in the show. One of my favorite in town now.
