Review: Liverpool Ledgends

On Saturday night, August 30th, we had the great fortune to attend the Liverpool Legends show.

This is without a doubt, this is one of the best shows in the Branson area. These guys not only look the part, but their musicianship is simply amazing. Sometimes you could close your eyes and swear you were listening to the real thing!

The only bad thing about the show was that it ended!

The show started off with the Beatles arrival to America and their debut on the Ed Sullivan show. As the show progressed, they stepped through each year and played the songs in a chronicled order. They nailed most every song, very impressively.

A highlight for me was at intermission, Louise Harrison, George's sister took center stage and told some funny, sad and heart tugging stories of her relationship with George. She had a twinkle in her eye when she spoke of him and her love was there for all to see.

As the second part started, the "Beatles" came out in the Sgt. Pepper's apparel and continued to smoke the theater. A few highlights for me was:

1. When "George" came out and played "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on an acoustical guitar.

2. When the band played "A Day In The Life" - My all-time favorite Beatles song.

All-in-all, this show was simply amazing. From the costumes, the lighting, the vibe, but most importantly, the musicianship of these guys.

All I can say is ---- GO TO THIS SHOW!!

Thanks for the review. I completely agree with you regarding the quality of this show. For those that saw The Legends prior to their move to the Starlite--go again. The modifications to the show are wonderful and the Starlite experience is far better since the remodel.... Oh yeah, whether you need to or not, check out the restrooms, they are nicely done also.

I would have to agree with everything you all have said. I think that Liverpool Legends is the best show in Branson. And, "George" singing/playing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is simply amazing. As is the entire show!

I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY about everything you said. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", actually made ME weep...especially when they showed
the picture of George on the screen.

There was not one time that I couldn't have closed my eyes and not thought it was actually the Beatles playing. Did you notice that before the
show, when Louise Harrison's introduction was playing, she said there was NO recorded music or sound effects used, at all? Quite impressive!

We love going to this show when we come down! When we went the first time to the show it was because DH wanted to see it and I'm so glad that we did, I became hooked then and love their show.

My DH and I saw The Liverpool Legends last year before they moved. I had no idea it would be that wonderful of a show. I'm smiling just remembering it.
We are going to see them again soon. After the show they took the time to pose for a picture with us, they are sweet guys! Gotta love 'em!!!!!

Branson Dad and I went and saw this show last night. It was really fun and amazing to me. I am young so I never really heard any kind of Bealtes before. I have heard other people sing their songs but last night was awesome and I enjoyed every moment of it.

The review will be up soon from the both of us.

And I just have one more thing to say.

GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!

That is all.
