Branson Broadway?

I'm looking through show lists for the upcoming trip my Dear One and I have scheduled for Branson (late September), and trying to decide what would be a good show for a Broadway-style musical.

Shows under consideration are:

Breaking Up is Hard to Do - sounds like a lot of fun
Broadway: Star Spangled Celebration - looks like it may not have a story behind it, more lots of Broadway songs (but I like the idea of the large staged musical numbers)
Celebrate America - which would appeal to my Dear One from the patriotic/historical stand point

I welcome any input - or other ideas if I've missed some hidden gem! We have considered both the Promise and Noah, but won't be seeing those this time around. Too much to see, and too little time as usual!

I'd go see them all if you can... But if you can't...

Breaking Up is Hard to Do is really well done. We had fun watching as the cast was especially full of energy. (my opinion)

Honestly, I haven't seen the others yet.

I would recommend Breaking up simply because it is new and really well done. It is always nice to see something new and different. The story is cute and has been put together with the music really well.

We have seen Celebrate America several times and it is always a pleasure.

In other words, you can't wrong with either of them. My hubby and I have a soft place in our hearts for Celebrate because the first time we saw it was a special showing for military families who had someone in Iraq and at that time our son-in-law was there and he and our daughter had an 18 month old daughter, their last name happens to be Morrison and that is the family name in this one. Anyway, come and enjoy whatever you decide to see.

If you want to help out Branson shows in general you might want to see either "Breaking Up is Hard to Do" or "Celebrate America". These shows only average a very small audience and they could use all the attendance they can get. Broadway-The Star Spangled Celebration is more of an area staple and does very well.

I've not yet seen Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Based on the good things I've been hearing, and the fact that I trust the judgement of the people I've been hearing them from, I've not qualms about recommending the show.

I HAVE seen Celebrate America as well as Broadway: A Star-Spangled Celebration. Of the two, Broadway is by far my favorite. It is a Broadway music review, with lots of fantastic production numbers! The dancing is superb, and the lead vocals of Gene Yaws and Darbie Pope are top-notch! Celebrate America is also enjoyable, and a great look at our nation's history.

All that being said, I would also suggest Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, as not only does it seem to be more along the lines of what you're looking for, it could use the support.

Gene Yaws in "Broadway" is the sexiest singer-performer in Branson. He can heat up any audience with his extreme talent.

OK, You ladies can have Gene if I can have Darbie Pope, the female lead of the show. She is gorgeous...and has one of the best singing voices I have ever heard.
