Also many shows shut down a few days during that time to change their format to Christmas...yea Christmas shows do not begin until the first week of November.

However, you can start getting into the holiday spirit as you watch Christmas decorations being put up all over town! Lots of decorations will already be hung. And, yes, a lot of shows are closed but a LOT of shows are open. It's a great time to be there. I'll see you there!

Some venues only close for a day or two for that change-over. Some are closed a bit longer. You just have to check it out by looking at a good schedule. Many will start Christmas shows on November 1st. Some start a bit later, some a bit earlier. I have gone to a couple of Christmas Season opening nights on Halloween -- now THAT was weird!! LOl!!!

Last Nov. we went earlier in the month to Branson and SDC. The Dickens show at SDC was not up and running yet. DH was very disappointed as he really enjoys that show. If we're able to come this Nov. it will be later in the month.
