Platters open tonight at Caravelle Theater

Tonight will be The Platters opening night at the Caravelle Theater at 8PM. They will be there through the weekend, including Sunday night this week. The group is AMAZING, talented, incredibly high energy, and a ton of fun. Rememebr we have a great local rate as well, so any locals wanting to go out for an evening, please come check out the show. You'll be glad you did!

8PM at Caravelle Theater 417-334-5100

Thanks! Everyone have a fun and safe holiday weekend!

drove by the caravelle today and noticed the new sign... "From Las Vegas: The Platters". Thought it was interesting that it didn't say "The World Famous Platters" as all the marketing material always used to have.

It is not the same Platters..the "World Famous" ones are at the Starlite Theater. These are a new group of Platters that someone has brought in. So, there are two Platters shows in Branson now.

The marquee at the Caravelle says "World Famous Platters". The Starlite just started a bunch of radio ads. If people don't know there are 2 platters groups they'll go to the theater with the biggest sign. Size does matter!

From what was told to me at work (I work in the timeshare/ ticket industry) is that the guy at the Caravelle owns the phrase "The World Famous Platters"..that is why the sign states as such...but the group that has been around town for years is at the Starlite...very confusing.

their names...

Hi-

As requested, the new group of Platters at the Caravelle Theater are:

Terence Forsythe
Freddie "Doc" Holiday
Johnnie Butler
Willie Greene
Gwen Forsythe

They are amazing! They sing 100% of their vocals and backgrounds all live each show! Their energy is amazing, and as the review posted on this site said - you will not believe the bass singing!! We hope that people in the community will come and see the show as well as the tourists, because it really does speak for itself!

If Andre Shepherd is not with them, than I am probably not going. Noone in this "other" Platters group could do better than he and his fellow Platters.

But you ARE singing to tracks right?! The other platters, at the starlight sing all there vocals and backgrounds too. So are you using the tracks the first group used to use?! Sounds like copycats to me. Eddie, Andre, Yolonda, Willie and Rooster are at the Starlight and they are the Platters I want to see.
World Famous or not.
