Branson Belle Review
Last evening my granddaughter, two of her friends and myself took advantage of the area appreciation and went on the Branson Belle. I had not been in a couple of years and 2 of them had never been. The place was packed. It took about 30 minutes to get thru the line to receive the tickets. Several people were unhappy for the wait.
By the time we got on the boat it was about 7:40. The food was good, not great, but good. Of course, we all liked the dessert the best. The MC came out as we were getting underway and did a small act. Once we were getting our salads they did a short movie about Branson and the boat. It was very informative. The MC stated that the boat goes about 6 miles on the lake. If I remember right, the band played as we ate. We had a nice server and I tipped him accordingly. They do put out little placards on the table that a gratuity is not part of your ticket price. After supper, there was let's call it a 30 minute or so intermission. People were allowed to go out on the deck or stay put if they so desired. Some people in our area were complaining about it being cold inside. Once the show started there were 4 singers/dancers. They sang various show tunes. They were good but not my cup of tea. The Russian dancers were pretty good too. Then the highlight of the show was started. That was Todd Oliver and Irving and two other friends. The crowd roared and my companions were actually having a great time. Part of the show was audience participation of two elderly people going on stage. They were a riot. She didn't have her teeth in (said they were at the dentist) and she was a ham. The gentleman was pretty funny too. We got off the boat about 10:20. I'm glad we did this. Glad I could actually talk the kids in to going. She generally wants nothing to do with Branson. Hopefully they will be able to use this as part of their class credit in Advanced Drama. If you have a chance to take in the area appreciation, you might want to look at doing this. I will say I probably wouldn't do it regularly as it is rather pricey but I do think it would be worth it at least once. |

I love, love the branson belle,
We got to go for half price because of a city hopper pass we had... I agree, full price is kinda pricey. But , i had a blast on it... I wish we could just float around about an hour longer , just enjoy the deck. |

My family also loves the Branson Belle. We do it every year in December on our Christmas trip to Branson. The last couple of years we have tried to steer away from it but the kids (now 18 & 20) insist on going as it has become a tradition.
We get half price because of our passes and then we usually have a coupon for half off 6 other people for buying next years passes...it is a vicious circle! I for one am tired of the Russian dancers. They really need to change the show up a bit for all of us people that have been coming 10 years in a row !! |

I don't remember seeing Russian dancers when we were there a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed the show and the food. I'm glad we didnt spend the dough for the deluxe dine with the captain seats.

Thanks for the nice review. We went a couple of years ago for our 20th anniversary, it was a good time. We enjoy the Belle but only go every 2-4 years.

We have tickets for October and can't wait. We have not been since 1999 so we are really looking forward to it.
