Dixie Stampede & Celebration City

We are thinking about going to this when we head down to Branson the middle of September. My kids are 3 and 5. I read on their site about purchasing a "childs ticket" for little ones that don't sit on your lap, but I don't see any mention of a "child's ticket" in their prices.

My first question is, do you think it would be enough to hold my kid's attention? They love watching animals and they do really well when we go out to eat.

Second, is there any place to go through for cheaper tickets? And is there is a "childs ticket"?

Any other recommendations for young kids would be appreciated. We are going to Silver Dollar City, but have 2 more days to fill up. We are thinking about Celebration City as we have never been there. Would like to hear experiences with there as well.

Thank you,
Amy

Dixie Stampede thread from a bit further down the page. I did a search.

Do a search for Celebration City and you'll find plenty of info.

Dixie Stampede has changed some things with their ticketing. I don't see child's tickets online either, so maybe they did away with that option. It wasn't that much less, probably because the meal is the same whether you get an adult or child meal. Calling the ticket office direct is your best bet there. Sometimes they have more options when you call, and hopefully one of them is a child's ticket.

My youngest went when she was just 3 and we've been back every year since. She loves the Stampede (she's 8 now).

Celebration is hit or miss for us, but we did enjoy more when our kids were younger.

You have to actually select a date and time to see adult and child ticket prices. Adult 12 yrs and older $45.04 and child 4-11 $23.84. 3 and under sitting on lap sharing parents plate, free.

Hi! Took our 4 & 7 yr old daughters to both Dixie Stampede & CC in early Aug. I don't know about ticket prices for DS, ours were a gift, but the girls loved it. The food is good & they get to eat it with their hands (big hit) & the show is wonderful & interactive. Well worth the money for our family. We prefer CC over SD for our kids ages. This of course is my opionion, but CC is less walking from one ride to the next & they are more child friendly for smaller children. My husband also likes a less crowded place & CC is. I say go at least once to make your own decision. They also have a wonderful laser/firworks show at 9:30 pm just before closing that is very cool. I got our tickets off this forums home page. Go to left of page & chose attractions, we got 2 days for the price of 1. This is not a timeshare deal. Hope this info is helpful. Have a wonderful time & let us know how it goes.
