Knudsen Brothers (Six)
DH and I will be coming back to Branson Sept. 13-20th. I'm about to order tickets for Andy Williams Variety Show, 50's at the hop (dh's favorite), and I'd like to know if SIX is still in town? We saw them Oct, 07 and thought the show was just great.
The highlite of that trip was meeting Andy Williams at his restaurant by chance late on a Sunday nite. He came in the lounge and sat in the booth directly behind me. Can you say....giggle like a star struck teenager!  Kidding aside....he is the most gracious and approachable celebrity I've ever encountered. They sat and chatted with us for a long time....at least that gave me enough time to recover and remember how to speak english instead of babble.  I'll never forget my first words that blurted out of my mouth when he took my hands. "Oh Mr. Williams......I'm so excited to meet you. I still love cookie bear".  GEEZ. I'll take that memory to my grave.

Callie, SIX is still in town. Still at the Hughes American Family Theater.
I love your reaction to Andy Williams! He is definitely a genuinely nice man, but still can leave one sounding like a blithering school-girl, can't he?! I was talking with the Warnock family last night, and we were talking about how amazing that man is to keep going like he does at his age. They are starting rehearsals on Monday for the new show. They said he is still very much "hands-on" with both the theater and the restaurant, and doesn't really slow down a whole lot at all. Reservebranson.com sells tickets at a discount. you type in the dates you are in Branson and they list the dates and times of shows available. If you are interested in 50's AT THE HOP, I have 2 ticket vouchers for 50's AT THE HOP that I wasn't able to use and I'm selling them on ebay at a deep discount. The item is 350085734168. |
