Shorty Smalls--Bucky & Jon
Hey people this is Bucky Heard and Jon Sousan and this is the handle we will be using to fill you guys in on what's happening down at the "Dockside" pub located at Shorty Small's on the Landing.
For now here's the schedule: From 8p-10p Wednesday - Saturday Paul Dietrich (singles act) provides entertainment during your 'fine dining experience' -- such big words for such little guys - HA! When Paul gets done at 10p then the late night bands start and we go until 1a. And here's the late night line-up: Wednesday -- The Dockside Pub Band -- Bucky, Jon, Gary Freeman and Dino Phillips. We do all genres of music and we invite and have had several area entertainers "sit-ins" from several of the Branson shows. Thursday -- We do a thing called "Live Jukebox" it's kind of a "Pro" Karaoke in that we have a song list of over 20,000 songs to choose from and singers from shows here in town get up and sing together or can even be your background singers. This week Stacey (Shania) and Rob (Rod Stewart) from the Legends brought the house down! --OR You can try to stump us by doing a kamakazi karaoke...yikes... that's where you pick a song for us to sing. Last week somebody asked for Whip It by Devo ... it was a blast .. it was so funny ... Friday -- Branson's best Rock Band -- RETRO -- We have a 5 piece that does Kansas, Styx, Foreigner, Boston ... stuff like that. This week was a packed house and we even had a visit from the Smurfs. (You guys were awesome. Happy Birthday Chip.) Bucky--" Do you smell cotton candy?" Jon--"I think one of those smurfs pooted!" Saturday -- The world famous Horndawgs -- if you haven't heard the Horndawgs you can't miss this 9 piece 'horn' band. Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Chicago ... need we say more! We really appreciate all of your support in the past and we ask that you come and join us down here. It's a great atmosphere and a great place to party. This is really what Branson has been missing ... a late night spot with great consistant entertainment. Thanks to Paul Kreth, our hero, (ok .. so we're brown nosing the boss a little bit). Anyway, there is much more to come. This is just the beginning and please do give us your comments and suggestions because it's all about you. Sounds like fun. We will have to keep it in mind for upcoming trips to Branson. How often is this schedule going to change?

Schedule
The Schedule is solid for the rest of the year and I talked with the owner this evening in fact...and he is committing to next year as well.
We also want to add that in case of rain...we move the entertainment inside. Jon & Bucky |

I am not a local but every time we come to Branson we eat at shorty smalls.
do they still have the other location or are they just at the landing now? Thanks cindy

Bucky, you are moving farther away, bro. First it was Shake-It-Up just down the street from where we live, then Andy's, a little farther down the road, then Club 57, still farther, and now Shorty Smalls at the Landing, way across town. Hey, we will just have to adjust because you're the MAN....Rock on!!!!

Husband and I were walking by Shorty's a week or so ago when Retro was playing. They sounded pretty good to me and everyone looked to be having a great time. Geez, I miss Branson already and have only been home a day!

My husband and I are local. We have been to Short Small's at the landing on several different nights to eat and be entertained by Paul first and then later in the evening by Jon and Bucky and the bands. The food is delicious. The helpings are very generous and the entertainment is always great. The jukebox show is a lot of fun and all the bands are terrific!

Bucky is the the best and my fave entertainer in all of Branson! I saw him at shorty smalls the other day and it was GREAT! An outdoor venue is just what Branson needs.
